airspotbot #
airspotbot is a Twitter bot designed to provide simple, flexible way to report interesting aircraft activity in a designated area via twitter posts. It uses Tweepy and the ADS-B exchange API. airspotbot is designed to be extremely configurable, so it can be used to monitor diverse kinds of activity. The bot is written in Python and is open source.
Following the suspension of several aircraft tracking accounts on Twitter in December 2022, I am in the process of developing support for other social media, including federated services such as Mastodon.
