Postcards document a performance in Bar Harbor, Maine, USA on July 2, 2012 and August 7, 2012. Water was taken from various lakes and beaches within Acadia National Park and placed in red plastic disposable cups around several locations in downtown Bar Harbor. This town is immediately adjacent to the park and is supported by tourist industries catering to park visitors. Bar Harbor's public water supply is drawn from the lakes within the national park. The source and photographed location of each volume of water is noted on the reverse of each postcard.
